My Classroom Philosophy
I was given the opportunity to come up with my own classroom philosophy as a Senior in Hope College's Education Program. Throughout my time at Hope I have been blessed with the opportunity to talk and observe many great mentor teachers and pick their brain on their classroom philosophies. I have found that they have some philosophies that I would love to carry over into my future classroom, and some that I will choose to leave behind. In experiencing a variety of behavior management styles, I hope to have developed a great style that can be implemented into my classroom. From learning about different theorists to mentor teachers to student interests, I truly feel I know how I want my classroom to function and have a good idea at how I will implement my philosophy from the first day of school.
Inspiration To My Thoughts
These two videos excite me about teaching and have helped shape how I want to think and act in my classroom, as well as, how I hope my students will think and act in the classroom. As a teacher I will continue to set my standards as high as I feel each student can reach and will accept nothing but their best. Just like the second video states, these are not just kids, but they are the future of our generations to come.
